NDLEA uncovers Indian hemp depot
From MU’AWUYA B. IDRIS, Katsina

THE National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Katsina state has discovered an Indian hemp depot which is being used for distribution and selling of Indian hemp in the state.
The agency had succeeded in arresting six people alleged owners of the Indian hemp depot and seized over 200 kilgrames.
Parading the suspect to newsmen, the agency acting commandant in the state, Alhaji Lawan Hamisu said the depot was discovered after an intensive surveillance by the operatives of the agency.
Alhaji Hamisu said the suspects including a woman will be charged to court as soon as investigation is completed.
He, however, added that three other suspects in the case are at large.
“We want to warn landlords to be cautions of the activities of their tenants to avoid harbouring bad eggs within the mix of their children”, he added.
Alhaji Hamisu appealed to the people of the state to help the agency in the fight against drug merchants.
