Sacked Atiku’s aides recalled

AS crisis between President Olusegun Obasanjo and his vice Atiku Abubakar is now before the Supreme Court, the presidency Thursday recalled five of the sacked aides to the Vice-President.
Similarly, some of the vehicles in the official fleet of the Vice-President earlier removed by the presidency in the heat of the last face-off between him and Obasanjo were said to have been returned.
These developments could not be confirmed as a staff in the office of the senior special assistant to the president on media Oluremi Oyo, said she was not aware of anything like this.
The presidential spokesperson could not be reached as she was said to be attending to pressing issues at the time of calls.
When contacted, the Media consultant to the Vice-President, Malam Garba Shehu said he could not not recalled the personnel.
When contacted, another former aide of Atiku however gave the names of only three of the recalled officials.These include Principal Secretary, Abdullahi Nyako, Political Adviser, A.D. Yahaya, a professor, Personal physician, Azu Ndukwe, a medical doctor.
He could not confirm the names of the rest: who are personal assistant and a protocol assistant.
The source also confirmed that some vehicles that were earlier withdrawn from the Vice-President in the heat of the purported crisis have also been returned.
It could be recalled that last wednesday,the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja referred the suit filed by Vice-President Atiku Abubakar over the declaration of his position vacant.
The president of the court, Justice Umar Abdullahi,immediately announced that he had conferred with his fellow justices of the court and decided to refer the case to the apex court but said he wanted to seek the views of all parties.
