Vogts leads Super Eagles to London
The first official assignment of new Super Eagles' Technical Adviser Berti Vogts comes up next month when Nigeria take on Ghana in London, KICK OFF can report.
Top NFA Board member Taiwo Ogunjobi confirmed this development to KICK OFF in Abuja on Thursday, stressing that the new German manager will be in charge during the London friendly.
"We will use the opportunity of the game in London to officially unveil the new foreign manager to members of the Super Eagles," the former NFA Scribe confirmed.
Meanwhile, contrary to stories making the rounds, Vogts will be staying in Nigeria to help develop soccer in the country, KICK OFF can confirm.
Ogunjobi stated that NFL title sponsor Globacom have already provided two houses in Lagos and Abuja for the German.
"Vogts will reside here in Nigeria. Globacom have helped in providing accommodation for him both in Lagos and Abuja.
"He will also be provided with two cars and drivers while everything that will make him comfortable will be taken care of by Globacom," Ogunjobi, a member of the team that brokered the deal in London, told KICK OFF.
He also disclosed that the German coach will be coming with two assistants a€" a trainer and a goalkeeper trainer, which the NFA have approved.
