Haruna contests House of Reps

THE former executive chairman of Makoda local government area in Kano state, Alhaji Ali Haruna Bukar Makoda, has announced his intention to contest in the House of Representative representing Makoda/Dambatta federal constituency.
Speaking to the Weekend Triumph in Kano, Alhaji Makoda who is the state party secretary of People Democratic Party (PDP) said, if elected he would ensure better representation of the constituency.
He said, it is now the turn of Makoda, to produce the next member of the House of Representative.
According to him, PDP which, is the biggest party in Africa, has done credibly well and impacted positively to the life of Nigerians.
He therefore, said that there is need for the people to rally round in order to ensure the better Nigeria.
Alhaji Makoda also expressed delight for the interest shown by the former governor of the state, Engr. (Dr.) Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso to contest in the guber race in the state.
With, the proliferation of many candidates in PDP contesting for gubernatorial of the state, he looked at it as a demonstration of real democracy taking shape in the state and the country as a whole.
Speaking on his candidature into the house of representative, he said, the move was to responde to the call of his people who have been pressuring join the race due to his quality.
The former chairman listed his agenda, as to empower people of both Makoda/Dambatta local councils so that they will feel the presence of federal government in their constituency.
He said, he will bring more employment opportunities to them, adding that through, this initiative more vacancies at federal constituency would be filled by people from his constituency.
