Gov. Mu'azu reshuffles cabinet
Gov Ahmadu Mu'azu of Bauchi state has last Wednesday sacked two of his commissioners in a minor cabinet reshuffle.
He has also sworn in Alhaji Sule Wali, his Special Assistant on Co-operative Affairs, as the new commissioner for Water Resources, while the former commissioner was appointed Special Adviser on local government affairs.
Also sworn-in was Alhaji Bashir Uba, former Secretary to Itas-Gadau local government as the new commissioner for Youth and Sports to replace Alhaji Adamu Zakari, who was dropped.
Alhaji Ibrahim Babale, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, swapped position with with his information counterpart, Alhaji Ibrahim Zailani.
Although no reason was given for the changes, the governor warned the cabinet members against any act of sabotage and urged them to work in line with the policies of his administration.
Mu'azu told the new commissioners that they were chosen on merit and charged them to consider themselves as servants and not leaders of the people.
He urged them to support the government to attain its set goals.
