Tella: Eaglets still open
Chief Coach of the Under-17 Golden Eaglets, Yemi Tella has maintained that he will continue to give room for new players in the team till the he gets the perfect squad for the country.
In a chat with Nigeriansportsonline.com the soccer technocrat reveals his plan of fortifying the team especially the attacking position which he described as the main problem.
“We are still building the team because there are still a lot to be done especially the attack. The camp is still open till we get the right team.
“Other departments are faring well but we hope to correct some of the mistakes notice against the Rwandans.”
He added that the few players discovered before the second leg contributed immensely to the victory in Kigali while expressing confidence in overcoming the Moroccan team in the last stage of the qualifiers.
“I want to inform you that those players discovered during the open screening after the first leg really proved their mettle and we are going to adhere strictly to that policy till we get the best team for Nigeria.
“We are ready for Morocco and by God’s grace we shall scale the last hurdle and qualify for Togo 2007”, he told Nigeriansportsonline.com.
