Bauchi earmarks N196m for inter-state roads security
The Bauchi state commissioner for special duties, Dr Muazu Badara, says the government has earmarked N196.6 million for the erection of security posts on inter-state roads linking the capital city.
Speaking at a forum organised by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Bauchi on Tuesday, Badara said the project was to enhance the operations of the joint security personnel, made up of the military and the police.
He said 10 security posts would be built within the city, while three each would be built on the five major inter-state roads linking the capital city.
He said the state police command had deployed patrol teams to strategic locations in the city as part of efforts to security lives and property.
