Bidding for detailed engineering design commences in Jigawa

IN its resolve to provide clean and safe drinking water to Dutse metropolis, the Jigawa state government has conducted bidding for detailed engineering design for Greater Dutse Water Supply project for consultants who applied for the job.
Speaking on the occasion, which took place at the state’s ministry of water resources, Dutse, the commissioner of the ministry, Alhaji Salisu Mamuda said, the objective of the bidding was to select the best and most reputable consultant among the three consultants who applied to undertake the detailed engineering design.
According to a press release signed by the public relations officer of the ministry, Malam Sunusi Muhammad Birnin Kudu and a copy made available to the Daily Triumph in Dutse, the commissioner who was represented by the permanent secretary of the ministry, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, assured the participating consultants of honesty, transparent, equity and due process evaluation process.
He then charged the evaluation committee members to discharge their duties effectively for the betterment of the state.
In his remark, the secretary of the evaluation committee who is also the director planning of the ministry, Malam Aliko Isyaku Umar stated that the Greater Dutse Water Supply project was divided into three stages; feasibility, which has been completed, while the second was detailed engineering design which was on the evaluation process and the last one is commencement of the project that is at the implementation stage.
The release said the bidding was chaired by the managing director of the state’s water board, Engr. Musa Girema with evaluation committee members drawn from the ministry of water resources, Water Board, STOWA, RUWASA, Due Process, ministry of justice and Budget and Economic Planning Directorate of the state ministry of finance.
