Education, root of societal development--Halliru

EDUCATING youths has been identified as the gateway of societal development.
The chairman of Parent-Teachers Association of Government Secondary School in Kano state, Dambatta, Alhaji Sani Halliru, made this known while inspecting some on-going projects under construction by the state government and some philanthropists in the school.
Alhaji Halliru further stressed that the school now is in good shape and the students are better off, adding that what remains is for the students to face the challenges ahead of them.
The chairman then expressed gratitude to the state governor for his foresight in revitalizing the education industry, which he described as bedrock for societal transformation.
He thanked Dr. Mansir Mukhtar for the provision of additional borehole to the school, as he challenged parents and other stakeholders in education industry to participate actively in the sector for the betterment of the society.
Also speaking, the chairman of Dambatta-Makoda Development Association, Alhaji Sunusi Usman Dankoro, commended the school’s management for its hardwork which he said had resulted to better academic performances.
Alhaji Dankoro also appealed to the government to fence the school for security purposes and to renovate the staff quarters for proper accommodation of staff.
He seized the opportunity to congratulate the state governor, Malam (Dr.) Ibrahim Shekarau over his recent appointment as Sardaunan Kano, which he described as a welcome development.
