Engr Gwarzo visits War College

KANO state government has described geo-strategic tour to states of the federation by military institution as an avenue to move the nation forward.
The state deputy governor, Engr. Abdullahi t. Muhammad Gwarzo stated this during report presentation by the National War College, Course 17th members, held at Sani Abacha Hall, Abuja.
Engr. Gwarzo said the tour will serve as morale booster toward formulating and implementing policies that could transform the nation.
He maintained that the tour is encouraging especially when considering the present global economy as is fast shifting towards public ownership.
Earlier, the commandant of the college, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha Jonah, had acknowledged the tremendous effort made by Kano state government towards improving the living standard of its people.
He described the visit of the deputy governor to the college as the first of its kind and as such woul go along way in strengthening the cordial relationship existing between the state and the college.
Also speaking, leader of the team, Brig. Gen. Garba Mairiga Ringim, expressed satisfaction with the visit and called on the state government to continue to support the development of the rural areas with a view to boosting their socio- economic status.
He urged the state government to embark on campaign for creating awareness on the concept of Public Private Partnership (PPP), among People.
The team stressed the need for the state government to encourage the private sector to embrace PPP programmes for enhancing greater employment opportu-nities and promoting use of local raw materials for industrial growth.
The commandant later presented the college plaque to the deputy governor to mark the historic visit.
