Kano ASUSSS chair happy with Shekarau’s traditional title

CHAIRMAN of Kano state branch of the Academic Staff Union of Senior Secondary Schools (ASUSS), Comrade Jibrin Isa Muhammad, has expressed appreciation with the Kano Emirate Council's resolve to confer the title of Sardaunan on Governor Ibrahim Shekarau.
In a chat with Daily Triumph on the issue, last week, the chairman said the decision was taken at the right time and for the deserved person.
According to him, the honour done to Governor (Dr.) Shekarau can be seen as an honour not only to teachers in the state but the entire country.
He used the medium to call on parents and guardians to do all they could in supporting their wards' education by paying at least a visit quarterly to their respective schools and colleges with a view to encouraging them to concentrate on their studies.
He prayed to Allah (SWT) to sustain the emir's good health and for the governor the wisdom to successfully continue to pilot the affairs of the state.
