KNSG to improve educational standard -- K/Mata

THE present administration of Malam Ibrahim Shekarau will not spare any stone unturned in its determination to improve the standard of education in Kano state.
This assertion was made by the Director-General of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board (KSPWB), Alhaji Sani Lawan Kofar Mata at the occasion of Nigerian Universities Engineering Students Association Week/Magazine Launch, Bayero University, Kano chapter held at the institution’s new campus Monday.
He said Kano state government under the stewardship of Malam Ibrahim Shekarau has constructed a significant number of primary and post-primary schools in various parts of the state, while student’s enrolment into schools has also been improved.
Alhaji Lawan Kofar Mata who was appointed patron of the association, charged the students to shun examination malpractice and avoid cultism, adding that they should remain good ambassadors of their parents, institution and Kano state in general.
The director-general while assuring the association of his support, congratulated the university, lecturers and students for organizing the ceremony.
During the occasion, Alhaji Lawan Kofar Mata purchased five copies of the association’s magazine at the cost of N500,000.
In his remark, chairman of the association, Comrade Ahmad Masari commended Kofar Mata for his philanthropic activities and for his support and encouragement to the engineering students.
Comrade Masari also urged political officer holders in Kano state to emulate the sterling qualities of the director-general in the general interest of Kano people.
Important personalities including Special Assistant to Kano state governor, Political, Hajiya Safiya Aliyu Sallari graced the occasion.
