KNSG to allocate plot to Maishunku Qur’anic school

Kano state government has pledged to allocate plot to Bako Maishunku Qur’anic Foundation for the construction of its permanent site.
The state governor, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, made the pledge during the graduation ceremony of 187 Qur’anic recitation students held at the school premises, Sunday.
Malam Shekarau who was represented by his deputy, Engr. Abdullahi T. Muhammad Gwarzo, also commended the effort of the school proprietor, Alhaji Sabi’u Bako.
The governor noted that the initiative is in line with the state government’s policies in spreading Islamic knowledge to its teeming populous and advised people to emulate the kind gesture.
The principal of the school, Khalifah Abubakar, traced the history of the school that started within only six pupils adding that now both youths and married women are involved in the recitation and memorization of the gracious Qur’an.
Khalifah Abubakar then appealed to the people in the area to continue assisting the school in its bid to provide a sound Islamic knowledge to the students.
Earlier, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero charged the student s to exhibit what they learnt and ensure that they continue with their academic pursue.
Alhaji Bayero then advised wealthy individuals in the society to emulate the effort of the school’s proprietor by imparting knowledge to the people so as to leave a legacy to future generations.
The ceremony also witnessed the presentation of motorcycles to each of the eight tutors as the school’s proprietor’s appreciation to their dedication to duty.
The school’s students association donated gift to the state governor, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau and emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero for their untiring effort in boosting Islamic knowledge.
