KNSG’s societal reorientation hailed
By ALIYU UMAR
KANO state government’s effort to inculcate good morality in its people has been commended considering the machineries on the ground.
A statement by a concerned citizen of Kano state, Alhaji Magaji Isma’ila Yan-Gwanjo said that the state Censorship Board’s resolve to overhaul the Hausa film producers is also a good omen.
According to him, the government under the able leadership of Malam Ibrahim Shekarau is doing all it can to carry all along, thus moving the state forward in all facets of human endeavours.
For this reason, he called on all and sundry to rally round the government’s policy in rendering selfless service to the people irrespective of their ideological inclination.
His wards” I want to see opposition that would call to order the government of the day for to serve the people well rather than attacking the government on film-makers.
Alhaji Magaji advised them to put fear of God in all their undertakings bearing in their minds that they would be questioned on the Day of Judgment concerning their deeds.
He at this juncture enumerated some of the bad effects of Hausa films which include emulating infidel mode of dressing, disobedience towards parents, distortion of Hausa cultural heritage, and quite a number of vices which, according to him, gave birth to all negative attitudes Hausa films are passing to people.
He therefore advised the Hausa filmmakers to cooperate with the government so as to bring goodies to the people rather than being confrontational, which is totally against Islam.
Turning to the people, Alhaji Magaji urged all and sundry to boycott patronage of the indecent films as their own contribution towards bringing sanity to the people in line with the policy of the government of the day, which has to do with human development.
He then offered special prayer to the Director General, Censorship Board, Alhaji Abubakar Rabo and his lieutenants, hoping that the Almighty God (SWT) will continue to guide and protect them against all evils.
