KNSG directs Gwale LGC to complete Islamiyya school

KANO state government has directed Gwale local government council to as a matter of urgency complete the construction of Irshadul Adfal Al-Muhajirun Islamiyya at Kofar Na’isa.
Governor Ibrahim Shekarau gave the directive at the Qur’anic graduation of 44 students and the launching of an appeal fund for the completion of the school, held at the school premises last weekend.
Malam Shekarau, who was represented by deputy commandant, Hisbah Sheikh Nour Muhammad Arzai explained that such directives became necessary in order to complement the state government’s effort that completed the first stage of the project.
He noted that parents have also contributed by the purchasing the plot at the cost of N500,00 for the projects.
Also speaking, the district head of Gwale, Alhaji Sunusi Lamido Ado Bayero, (Ciroman Kano) congratulated the graduating student and their parents for encouraging the morale of both the teachers and students to acquire Islamic education.
Earlier, chairman of the organizing committee Alhaji Ibrahim Halliru Sulaiman said the school started in 1997 at its temporary site with little students but has know grown with over 200 students and commended the efforts of the parents and the state ministry of works for initiating the project.
A total of N712,000 was realised at the launching as donation with highest contribution of N250,000 from a member representing Gwale in the federal House of representatives, Hon. A.A. Sule, N200,000 from the chief launcher, Alhaji Kabiru Sani Kwangila.
