Karfi wins Katsina Assembly seat

Alhaji Dauda Ibrahim Karfi of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been elected as member, state House of Assembly of Malumfashi council area in Katsina state at last Saturday, conducted bye election.
He scored 76,073 votes beating other contestants from Action Congress (AC), All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP) and Peoples Salvation Party, (PSP).
A release issued by INEC in Katsina to newsmen, said the bye election was conducted in compliance with the decision of the appeal court.
The release signed by the Public Affairs Officer of INEC, Malam Lawal Sani Kofar Sauri said Malam Dauda Kirfi satisfied the provision of the law and scored the highest votes and returned duly elected.
The Commission commended political parties, security agencies, traditional rulers and NGOs for ensuring the peaceful conduct of the election.
