MSM inaugurates c’ttee soon ...To midwife party formation
The Mega Summit Movement (MSM) yesterday said plans had reached advanced stage to transform into the Mega Progressive Peoples Party (MPPP)
A Director of MSM, Mr Dare Falade told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, that a 21-member committee to midwife the formation of the party would soon be inaugurated.
``The committee will go round the 36 states of the federation, including the FCT before the inauguration,’’ he said.
The Director said the process of registering the party had already started, adding that its doors were open to new members.
Falade disclosed that that the Mega Summit Caucus met last week in Abuja, to strategise and assess developments in the country that had consequently heat up the polity.
The caucus, he said, resolved that the party’s name should carry `Mega’ in tandem with what the secretariat and other stakeholders wanted.
NAN reports that 25 political parties are behind the formation of the Mega party.
