NCNE commences nationwide tour

National Commission for Nomadic Education has commenced a nation tour to meet with all relevant stakeholders toward improving nomadic education in the country.
The tour is also expected to identify problems that facing nomadic schools and assess enrolment of pupils into that schools.
Speaking during a visit to Katsina, the Executive Secretary of the commission, Hajiya Nafisatu Muhammad said that, the commission which was set up 20 years ago needs to be assess to identify problems and suggest areas for improvement.
“We are here to extend hand of collaboration and partnership with stakeholders to improve nomadic education” She said.
Hajiya Nafisatu who visited some of the nomadic schools in Katsina commended state Universal Basic Education board for assistance to the schools.
At Karkarku Nomadic School , Hajiya Nafisatu described it as one of the best and appreciated the enrollment at the school.
Earlier, the executive chairman of Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board, Alhaji Suleiman Nuhu Kuki said the board is committed to improve Nomadic Education.
Alhaji Kuki who took the executive secretary round some of the Nomadic schools, commended the federal government for sustaining programme.
The Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman noted that the introduction of nomadic education has improved the lives of nomadic people.
Alhaji Kabir Usman called on the staff of the commission to consider their Job as a Jihad and assured that his emirate will continue to ensure success of the programme.
