NGO donates essential commodities to Bokoto, Zai Qur’anic schl pupils

THE Foundation for Social Development of Destitutes, Jigawa state chapter, a Non Governmental Organization (NGO), has donated essential commodities worth thousands of Naira to 150 pupils of Bokoto and Zai Qur’anic schools (Makarantun Allo) in the local government area of the state.
Presenting the items to the pupils, national president of the Foundation, Alhaji Shu’aibu Musa Kafin Gana, said the items include soaps, detergents, bags of rice and clothing materials.
According to a press release signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Foundation, Malam Mati Ali, a copy of which was made available to Daily Triumph, Kafin Gana said the gesture was part of the Foundation’s manifesto of assisting under-privileged populace so as to minimize their suffering.
The president explained that the Foundation was established in 2009 and designed to extend its humanitarian services to prison inmates, hospitals, destitute homes and rehabilitation centres in Jigawa state.
In his speech, the Special Adviser to Jigawa state governor, on NGO, Alhaji Dahiru Ado Da’u, said such gesture by the Foundation was in line with Lamido’s administration deter-mination to alleviate the suffering of the less-privileged in the state.
In their separate remark the village heads of Bokoto and Zai quarters, Malam Bashir Muhammad and Mai Unguwa Lawandi respectively, commen-ded the Foundation for the kind gesture and then urged the foundation not to relent in its effort in helping the needy as its reward is with God, the Almighty.
