Pray for Nigeria, Katsina emir appeals to citizens

The Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman has declared that Nigerian leaders need constant prayers to make them bring positive changes for the people.
Speaking while receiving Speaker, House of Representatives and National Amirul-Hajj at his palace, Alhaji Abdulmumini noted that positive prayers are the only solutions toward solving the problems facing the country.
“We should desist from negative prayers for our leaders. They need constant positive prayers to bring positive change for the country,” he said.
The emir predicted that this year’s Hajj operation will be a successful one, in view of adequate arrangement on the ground.
He particularly lauded the effort of Katsina state government for putting measures to ensure the success of the Hajj operation.
Alhaji Kabir appealed to Nigerian intending pilgrims to abide by the rules and regulations of Saudi authorities.
Earlier, Speaker Bankole had told the emir that he was in Katsina to inspect facilities at Katsina International Airport and the Hajj Camp.
Speaker Bankole said he was satisfied with the facilities on the ground and assured that his team would ensure successful Hajj operations.
Meanwhile, about 3,000 intending pilgrims have so far been airlifted through Katsina International Airport .
The Executive Director of the State Pilgrim Welfare Board, Alhaji Yusuf Barmo told newsmen that airlifting of the intending pilgrims is expected to be completed next Friday.
Barmo expressed satisfaction with the smooth airlifting of intending pilgrims by Kabo Airline.
