Peace: Plateau should copy Kano -Engr. Gwarzo
By SALISU MARAFA
KANO state government has urged Plateau state to copy the strategic points employed in making Kano state a peaceful environment.
The state acting governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Tijjani Muhammad Gwarzo made the remark yesterday during the final stakeholders workshop of the European Union and Integrated Water Resources Management Project, held at Royal Tropicana Hotel, Kano.
Alhaji Gwarzo said peace and harmony are some of the key aspects of the development of any nation where the need to maintain it becomes necessary.
He said the state government since inception has designed many projects and  programmes to ensure a peaceful atmosphere in the state.
“Another aspect of this secret is the hospitality of the people of Kano state where everybody is living with one another in a peaceful manner,” Gwarzo further explained.
“This project initially, was designed to take place in Plateau state but due to the situation (crisis) in the state, it was shifted to Kano,” he further explained.
He then urged people of the state to continue to live in peace and harmony with one another as government would not relent in providing peaceful atmosphere all the time.
