2011 presidential polls: Sonfada says Niger ANPP crisis solved by Shekarau’s supporters

ALL Nigeria People’s party (ANPP), Niger state chapter, has regained its unity after a long crisis in the leadership of the party.
The new secretary of the party, Malam Sonfada Madami Bagudu, revealed this to our correspondent at his residence in Bida over the week.
Malam Sonfada who expressed his appreciation to the national secretariat of the party that was solemnly behind this reconciliation, said that there is no any faction in the state now. He particularly thanked Arc David Umah who led the delegates to the state for the congress during which factional differences were settled successfully.
The secretary used the opportunity to appeal to those that formed other factions to come back and put hands on deck so as to face challenges ahead of 2011 general elections, pointing out there is hope for ANPP in Niger state.
Furthermore,he reiterated that the party, which is under the leadership of Alhaji Adamu Muhammad (Chiroman Bargu), is ready to receive anybody who is willing to come back to the party, especially the former party chairman, Barr. Hussaini Umaru Garba and his supporters.
According to him,”they are good materials, whom we can not turn our back against.”
On the presidential ambition of the Kano state governor, Malam Ibrahim Shakarau (Sardaunan Kano), Malam Sonfada said it is a welcome developmente, stressing that he has every right to vie for it because Malam shakarau wants to expand his political experience from state to the national level he therefore, said every Nigerian has the right to accept him , going by the mandate given to him for eight years to pilot the affairs of Kano state.
He then thanked all the ANPP supporters in the state and urged them to keep it up.
