Sallari extols Shekarau’s foresight, stewardship
SPECIAL assistant to the Kano state governor on political affairs, Hajiya Safiya Aliyu Sallari, has commended the governor for his foresight and good stewardship.
Hajiya Sallari made the commendation while receiving a delegation from Jama’atul Akhbarudeen Society of Nigeria, Kano branch, on behalf of the special adviser to the governor on political affairs, Alhaji Abdullahi Sani Rogo, at the conference room of the political affairs office.
Hajiya Sallari spoke at length on the achievements of Shekarau’s administration and assured the society that government will assist them. She solicited the cooperation of the society and prayed for the administration to achieve its goals.
Earlier, the leader (women wing) of the delegation, Hajiya Rukayya Abdulganiyu who spoke through the Imam of Akhbarudeen mosque, Ustaz Muhammad Ahmad had said that they were in the office of the special adviser on a courtesy visit to solicit the support of the state government.
Malam Ahmad disclosed that his society was established 12 years ago at 62 New Road, Kano, with its headquarters at Ogomosho in Osun state.
The society’s main functions were preaching and propagation of Islam as well as training of women to be good house wives among others.
He called on the state government to assist the society by fencing their mosque, provide a bore- hole, a bus, and rehabilitate their toilets.
