Shun cultism, exam malpractice, bad behaviour, LACAILS students urged

STUDENTS of Justice Lami Abubakar College of Arts and Islamic Legal Studies in Minna, Niger, have been warned to shun from cultism, examination malpractices, and any bad behaviousr the Provost of the College, Alhaji Abubakar A. Dauda gave this warning during the matriculation ceremony held at college hall in Minna recently.
Provost urged them to work hard and do their best so that they can justify the amount of money spent on them by their parents. He also urged them to do everything possitively to achieve their desired gaols, adding that the certificate would not be given to any student except with two qualities, good behaviours and good performance in the class, praying that they will combine the two.
The Provost also stated clearly that the college is not sectionalized admission is opened to all and provided they possess the requirement. On the phassed out of the Mass Communication coures from the college, he said the order was from the government which according to him, the reason is best known to the government.”
While giving the break down of 810 matriculated students, the accadamic secretary of the college, Alhaji Ndaman Gado said about 677 students were registered into Law Department,133 into Arts department. While 85 students were registered into Advanced Diploma in Law, 85 in Professional Diploma in Education and 70 in Certificate Course in Law making the total number of registed students, 1050.
In his remark, the Dean, students affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Umar used the occasion to congratulate the new students, reiterating that it is not easy to gain admission, therefore, they should not waste their time, energy and resoures.
He then called on them to obey the rules and regulations stipulated by the college’s authority, code of conduct, code of dressing particularly for the female students which he noted, “Hijab is very compusary, no hijab, no exams.”
Alhaji Umar emphasised that all female students must be on purely Islamic dressing, even non Muslims who are oppotuned to gain admission must also dress in a very decent way, not in a mini or half naked dressing.
He maintained that the college will never condone any bad attitude, exams mal-practice, stressing that any one found violating the rules would be shown the way out.
Speaking on behalf of other students, Ibrahim Muhammad and Fatima Muhammad Kutigi expressed gratitude to Allah (SWT) for securing admission into the college and prayed to Him to give them the courage, strenght and wisdom so as to achieve their desired goal and promised to be law-abiden.
