Bayero thanks all
By HASSAN MUSA K/MATA
THE Emir of Kano, Alhaji (Dr.) Ado Bayero, has expressed gratitude to Allah (SWT) for sparing his life to witness the occasion of his 45th anniversary on the throne even as he acknowledged the support and love he enjoys from all.
Speaking in a tone sonorous with majesty, Alhaji Bayero said he felt gratified for Allah’s wisdon to have survived to witness different changes in the political terrain and leadership. Some good, while others bad, saying ‘’the rest is now history”.
The emir whose remark was full of praises for the support he has been enjoying from his subjects, said with philosophical calmness that “whatever will happen to us is des  tined by Allah. And Allah in His wisdom has given us the hope and the courage to be at the helm of affairs of our people all this long. We have nothing to say than to thank Him.”
Alhaji Bayero therefore called on the people to have the fear of Allah, embrace and love each other and shun all illicit acts.
He also thanked all those who came from far and wide to rejoice with him, particularly the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar and Kano state governor, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau.
The emir also used the occasion to appeal to the federal, state and local governments to work out policies and programmes that will bring about agricultural development in the country, considering the global economic challenges facing the country.
