Kwara PDP advises opposition groups

The Ruling,Peoples Democractic Party (PDP) in Kwara state has advised the opposition groups across the state to see the efforts of the present administration to uplift the economic and social well-being of the people as an effort capable of taking the state to greater heights.
This advice was contained in a statement issued by the PDP in Offa local government council area of the state jointly signed by its chairman, Hon. Raheem Bello and Secretary, Mr. Waheed Babatunde on behalf of the state PDP, a copy of which was made available to newsmen .
The statement said that the peaceful resolution of the warring towns of Erinle and Offa that had been in crisis for the past four decades over a parcel of land was an indication of good things that would come to the two areas for the overall growth of the populace.
Reacting to the recent insinuations from one group called Offa-Mesi in Offa, the headquarters of Offa local government council area of the state where the group accused the PDP government in the state of non performance, the party insisted that the PDP government in the state has transformed the state from a civil service state into an economic state in the past five years of its governance.
The statement described the people behind the insinuations as political losers with little or no regard for the monumental infrastructural development, peace and unity that now exists among the people of the state especially those in Offa and Erinle communities. " The PDP-led government in the state and in Offa local government have brought an enviable socio-economic growth to the people which had cut across the length and breadth of the state in the delivery of dividends of democracy ". It said .
"It beats our imagination that both Chief Y.F Oyeyemi (chairman , Offa-Mesi) and Alhaji Jide Oyewumi ( Political Head- Offa-Mesi) were not aware of the press release hence the activity of a minority group of Offa –Mesi is nothing but an attempt by some of its partisan members to hijack the responsibility of the whole Offa-Mesi for their selfish ends", the statement said.
