Zamfara LGC’s comm happy with performance

Zamfara state commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Alhaji Isyaka Muhammad Zurmi, has lauded the effort of the local governments’ chairmen in the state for executing viable projects for their communities.
The commissioner who spoke with the newsmen in his office, said the local governments have never tempered with a single kobo out of their monthly allocation.
He expressed happiness with the local governments for their commitment towards execution of projects that have direct bearing on the lives of the people.
Alhaji isiyaka Zurmi added that the present administration of Dallatun Zamfara is aimed at providing democracy dividend to the people.
The LG commissioner, however, advised the local government councils to adhere to the rule of law and provide democracy dividend to the grassroots.
He said since the inception of Dalhatu’s administration, local government chairmen have been executing viable development projects for their communities in their respective domain.
Alhaji Isiyaka also said the state government has set up a powerful local government project committee in order to access and monitor the performance of local government chairmen in the state.
