Zamfara police nab 23 hoodlums

Zamfara state police command has successfully arrested 23 hoodlums who are terrorizing innocent people in Gusau, the capital of the state.
The command conducted the raid on the 17th November 2009 fallowing series of reports over the nefarious activities of the hoodlums.
The operation led to the apprehension of the miscreants in several criminal hideouts in Gusau which the police said they smoke Indian hemp and sell cannabis and other dangerous hard drugs.
The PPRO of the command, ASP Lawal Abdullahi told Daily Triumph that the items recovered from the suspects at the scene include sharp knives, cutlasses and heavy sticks.
Those apprehended by the police are Babangida Ibrahim, Salisu Sa’idu, Kabiru Garba, Aminu Nasiru, Bala Hamza, Shafi’u Ibrahim and Abdullahi Muhammad.
Others are Murtala Bello, Shitu Labaran, Awwalu Alhassan, Mustapha Yusuf, Mu’azu Muhammad, Abdulmalik Danda and Yusuf Bello.
The rest are, Lawali Sani Abdul’azeez Ibrahim, Hussaini Kabiru, Babangida Usman, Sanusi Nakaka, Awwalu Abubakar and Nafisa Dalha.
The commissioner of police, Alhaji M.J.Abubakar fwc said the suspects after investigation, would be dragged to court for prosecution.
